Jen Roberts, Marketing & Lunch/Recess Monitor
My name is Jennifer Roberts and I have been a member of Immaculate Conception Parish for 20 years now. I am originally from North Canton, Ohio (a hometown I dearly love and visit often). I met my husband, Ben, when we both were students at Bowling Green State University. At BG, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing. After graduation and getting married, I relocated to Port Clinton (Ben’s hometown) in 1995. My husband became a Catholic through the RCIA program in 1999 and the connection to and love for this little parish on the lake was cemented. We have been blessed with three amazing children, Hannah, Ella, and Samuel, which make our lives full and busy each and every day. All three of my kids are currently attending or have graduated from Immaculate Conception School and we maintain that ICS was one of the best decisions we ever made. After many years of volunteering at the school, in 2012 I joined the staff in the position of Marketing Director. Immaculate Conception School has become family to me and I believe with everything in me that there is an unmatched benefit to a faith and value based education. So spreading the word about ICS is how I now spend my days, but it’s easy when you 100 percent believe in your “product”. Along the way, I have taken on a few other responsibilities at church and at school, such as helping on the playground and cafeteria for the past 3 years, serving as the treasurer for Friends of Immaculate Conception School for the past 7 years, and co-teaching the parish baptismal classes for new parents for the past 5 years. My family is my “everything” and time spent with them on a beach, on the couch watching a movie, or hearing about their days around the kitchen table is the best part of my day.
